The Influence Of A Stranger
Some claim they’ve never met a stranger;
but I doubt they’re telling the truth;
people, we don’t know; put us in danger;
could it be; those people are aloof?
We know we’re influenced by actions and words;
whether they be good or unpleasant;
but, can mere locality, become hidden swords;
when evil thoughts are present.
We understand the power of touch and feel;
of others within our sphere;
but truth of reality becomes surreal;
influence always draws near.
How about a sad look on a stranger’s face;
as he is merely walking nearby;
his emotional sorrows we suddenly embrace;
and his appearance makes us cry;
Sometimes we don’t even see his face;
tho we sense sadess from within;
given mental perception, by God’s grace;
we walk in our mind with him.
Obviously, we understand laughter and tears;
but total silence is harder to read;
energy from others; relay their fears;
and often, even their needs.
God has sent his angels to guide us;
to protect his children from danger;
we often feel their thoughts inside us;
perhaps an angel is that stranger.
