The Good Listener

With our eyes and ears we scan reality;
or, at least, what we think it to be;
tho we exist within an energy duality;
life’s more about thought; than see.

Speech is our choice for communication;
telling others whatever we think;
subtly, within us, is another conversation;
thought and speech are in sync.

We speak with our body; especially, eyes;
without even uttering a word;
the mind has thoughts; making replies;
which, by the listener is heard.

Everyone is anxious to have their say;
interrupting each other, all the time;
tho we think only speech has its sway;
mental telepathy is speech, sublime.

Words are links to the world of thought;
transporting all manner of information;
to a listener; more than words are brought;
bringing forth unspoken communication.

People learn nothing when they are speaking;
already aware what they’re going to say;
but, the listener’s mind is always seeking,
for hidden knowledge to come their way.

Words; the combination to the vault of the mind;
allowing the wise to subtly discern ;
since all are connected; it’s how it’s designed;
and only good listeners can learn.
