Unforeseen Consequence
Many prefer to make plans, in advance;
rather than let destiny choose;
to anticipate unwanted circumstance;
so they’ve nothing to lose.
Although, planning makes perfect sense;
no one can conceive every detail;
destiny can bring unforeseen consequence;
causing the best laid plans to fail.
Things happen; that we can’t imagine;
they seem to be destiny;
with consequences, we couldn’t fathom;
why did they happen to me?
Some things; we do; are risky by nature;
others say; we ought to know better;
but, warnings are merely nomenclature;
like the warning: Don’t be a debtor
Sometimes destiny restricts our vision;
we can’t see the forest; for the trees;
in such circumstance; to make a decision;
seek God; and drop to your knees.
Often; many make decisions on the fly;
due to our level of confidence;
figuring; no matter; we’ll still get by;
till hit by unforeseen consequence.
It’s better to start each day with prayer;
even destiny fears God’s wrath;
faith teaches us; God’s always there;
and God will light our path.
