The Ghosts Of Fear
Many have a fear of ghosts; when young;
as they get older; it tends to disappear;
the belief in ghosts have become far-flung;
especially, the ghosts of fear.
There are many definitions of what ghosts are;
and, why, when, and where they appear;
they are mists of consciousness from afar;
you might call them: the ghosts of fear.
Not many people consider ghosts as friends;
their very appearance seems rather austere;
like a shadowy mist such a ghost descends;
one of the many ghosts of fear.
Ghosts are the perfect definition of fear;
fears often appear, without reason;
forms of trepidation; suddenly appear;
at any time; and in any season.
There is the fear of darkness; fear of light;
the fear of public speaking;
the fear a spouse will suddenly take flight;
and a fear of death, while sleeping.
There’s the fear of the future; dred of the past;
the fear that we’ll never forget;
the fear of swimming; or driving too fast;
and the guilt of every regret.
Fear is the vacuum, where faith used to be;
faith and love bring God near;
trusting God gives us the eyes to see,
the ghosts of fear, disappear.
