The Gentleman Who

What is it about riches and fame;
that draws us, like flies to a meal;
what about a reputation or name;
can they, true character, reveal?

I’d like to be known as who I am;
not, who I long to become;
for I am a life, of the Master’s plan;
an integral part of the One.

Some are known as “the person who”;
then; followed up by their accolades;
alluding to what their characters imbue;
implying they deserve parades.

Only the Master, all futures, can view;
for destiny is merely his plan;
I’ll not be known as “the gentleman who;
unless, by the Master’s demand.

For though I was created from royalty;
I remain a stubborn, undisciplined child;
and, it’s only out of love and loyalty;
that I and the Master be reconciled.

I’ll never become “the gentleman who”
God never lets his child out of sight;
all possible goodness I’ll ever imbue;
a mere shadow of the Master’s Light.

All honor and nobility I’ll ever possess;
are words, created by the Master above;
for, my heavenly Father’s sweet caress,
infused and sustained me, with Love.
