The Future Is The Past

The future only exists in the past;
for those, with eyes to see;
even futures can’t eternally last;
the past; is the future to be.

All of reality spins in a cycle;
the past shall again become;
the lover becomes the rival;
the father becomes the son.

When new futures suddenly arrive;
we find elements of past; instead;
from the past; all things survive;
for the past, shall never be dead.

There’s nothing new; that has not been;
for the past shall always return;
all mistakes must resurface, again;
only from the past; can we learn.

Some say that the future’s not ours to see;
tho we all look in life’s rear view mirror;
gazing upon what all the futures might be;
sends us languishing in dread and fear.

Consciousness consists of memories, alone;
minute by minute; hour by hour;
in the essence of time; love brings us home;
the cycle of life; has that power.

The cycle of life, is forever revolving;
this is today; which cannot last;
life’s cycle is always problem solving;
beware; for the future; is the past.
