The Ferris Wheel
The Ferris Wheel
There’s a most spectacular carnival ride;
an enormous wheel; turned on its end;
carrying passengers, on seating, inside;
rotating; allowing they rise and descend.
Upon their reaching its ultimate height;
they’re given a view of a world below;
it’s a most memorable, spectacular sight;
often experienced with a belle or a beau.
Thoughts can provide the higher perspective;
just like the ferris wheel can go;
but eyes are not nearly so introspective;
eyes only see in the world, below.
Eyes are just part of the physical being;
limited by where the body goes;
thoughts can produce eyes in a dream;
the mind doesn’t walk; it flows.
Vision is a concept far beyond the eyes;
eyes cannot see for the heart;
thoughts very often spring their surprise;
a mind and eyes may be world’s apart.
The soul is the hub of the wheel of the mind;
it determines where the focus must be;
rotating that wheel to wherever inclined;
thought sees what it chooses to see.
The physical sight is only earthly bound;
hearts are linked to the Father, above;
tho sight of the eyes, can peer all around;
only the vision of the heart, knows love.
