The Essence Of A Kiss
There is something special about a kiss;
our vision is almost never employed;
bringing an energy that none can dismiss;
a form of love, enjoyed.
What is it about touching lips with another;
that makes us feel weak inside?
The kiss transforms a friend to a lover;
an energy no one can hide.
Most consider a kiss, a physical event;
a mere prelude to something more;
but, that depends upon each one’s intent;
a kiss often leads to an encore.
A kiss of a friend is planted on the cheek;
conveying it’s casual thought;
while the kiss of a lover is very unique;
its panoply of energies wrought.
A kiss is always a transfer of energy;
thought’s truth can’t be concealed;
intermingling feelings create a synergy;
and the truth of the kiss; revealed.
Unfortuneately some use a kiss to tell lies;
making another feel betrayed;
the energies within, help each to apprise;
whether it’s love; or charade;
Judas kissed his Master in the garden;
his identity, to enemies, unveil;
a despicable act, well beyond pardon;
the ultimate love betrayal.
