The End

With destiny’s time, we’re not in tune;
for we often hear some people say,
“He’s left this life, far too soon;
because they wished he could stay.

If my life is just marking time;
without any purpose or goal;
if I have no goal, I call mine;
I’ve misunderstood my role.

For each of us has a pupose in Life;
defined by One; not our own;
we are to face trials and strife;
and face each one, all alone.

The end of our life is well defined;
and is not of our own making;
wisdom’s treasures meant to be mined;
are buried in plain sight for our taking.

Often we don’t even know they’re there;
other times we simply can’t miss them;
sometimes it’s because we don’t care;
and often, summarily dismiss them.

Usually, it’s that we seek higher goals;
our purpose just isn’t enough;
we fail to see the value of our roles;
and humility can be quite tough.

Perfection can oft be found in simplicity;
loving God and all others, is our role;
too often we live in hate’s complicity;
we must make Love our goal.
