The Death Of Innocence
When an innocent man is executed;
while all of the guilty go free;
the outrage that comes is undisputed;
it’s not what’s supposed to be.
That innocent victim; they glorify;
he didn’t get what he deserved.
What happened to: “an eye for an eye?:
Why is justice, often unserved?
Why is an abortion a victimless crime;
death comes from a surgical knife;
the victim is innocence; perfection, sublime;
destined to be a husband or wife.
Abortion is usually a crime of convenience;
who has authority to snuff out a life;
how, for murder, can we mete out lenience;
should a husband or wife have that right?
That infant, within; didn’t cause any rape;
he or she didn’t even have a part;
tho the violent offender must never escape;
don’t stop an innocent beating heart.
Abortion is the modern form of birth control;
accepting that life is cheap;
would you endanger your very soul’
that which we sow; we’ll reap.
If abortion is a way out of a predicament
citing: “what will be; will be”
and, death is appropriate for the innocent;
what judgement awaits the guilty;
