The Curse Of Loneliness
The Curse Of Loneliness
Loneliness fosters bouts of depression;
our laughter replaced by crying;
life becomes a season of regression;
while the mind seems to be dying.
Our purpose; replaced by endless leisure;
not knowing what is to come;
life is more than enertainment and pleasure;
it’s about being what we become.
Life goes through many seasons to grow;
with others; we’re destined to interact;
we’re destined, in life, to reap as we sow;
whatever we give; we’ll get back.
Yet, in loneliness; life suddenly stands still;
it seems nothing else really mattered;
even though its curse be the Master’s will;
all our hopes and dreams are shattered.
Even tho we’re children of hope and love;
we seek a physical presence around;
turning our face to the heavens above;
silence is the only sound.
In total desperation, we turn to a brother;
where else have we got to go;
what shows love; like helping each other;
loneliness is the season we grow.
It’s said, it’s far better to give than receive;
tho in loneliness, we’ve little to share;
it’s a test of our faith; to show we believe;
and know that God is still there.
