The Creative Mind
We think we face an exterior entity;
an outside world by reality defined;
one specifically crafted by divinity;
a work of the Master’s creative mind.
Have we forgotten what we were told;
that we’re made in the Master’s image;
do memories grow dim as we grow old;
are we not part of the Master’s lineage?
Who’s the author of this book called life;
the producer of its stage play;
bringing an issue that cuts like a knife;
did we write it; or just obey?
Are we all simply destiny, on parade;
confronted with very limited choices;
or, is destiny, itself, simply a charade;
a mere puppet; mimicking our voices?
Clearly, there’s a creative mind involved;
but, we’re not all puppets on a string;
the conflicts, within; must be resolved;
tho paupers, we’re a child of the king.
Destiny or free will; that eternal quest;
the fact is: they both play a part;
the child of God is not simply a guest;
they each share the very same heart.
So, Destiny relinquished all his control;
that which he had, when life had begun;
the child of God must assume his role;
Master and child must become One.
