The Commoners
All wish to feel they are different from others;
something about them sets them apart;
standing tall, amongst sisters and brothers;
due to wisdom, or the size of their heart.
Some achieve goals beyond comprehension;
causing jealousy to spread far and wide;
looking down on all others with condescension;
they become puffed up with pride.
Still others, among us, are a most special case;
their entourage, not determined by loyalty;
on top of a mountain; looking down at its base;
they’re society’s annointed; its royalty.
Most don’t enjoy such a special treatment;
they live rather ordinary lives;
public appearances, for them, is infrequent;
spending time with husbands or wives.
Many spend time, watching the rich and famous;
as tho they’re created for a special role.
But, why waste time on a fool or ignoramous;
when life is about the growth of the soul?
The elites often look down on the rest with disdain;
for we all are just “commoners”; after all.
The meek are commoners, created in God’s name;
the pride of the elites, preceeds their fall.
Due to conspiracy; man was exiled, from birth;
onto a floating sphere in space;
the meek commoners, will inherit the earth;
the arrogant and proud, die in disgrace.
