The Closet

It’s interesting; what’s found in a word;
take the word; closet; for example;
a place to pray; and not be overheard;
so our closet space must be ample.

A closet is a place for our coat and hat;
or to store most anything;
a space with a door, keeps this from that;
your mind, has the same thing.

There’s a secret place; much like a vault;
within our mind; deep inside;
built, as a child; maintained as an adult;
we all have secrets; we hide.

Some secrets we share with others; close;
while others; are ours, alone;
our secret side; hides thoughts; like ghosts;
only, by ourselves, known.

Earth is the realm where secrets abide;
in heaven; all thoughts are known;
but, even those thoughts we don’t confide;
are still known by God, alone.

Some secret thoughts are apt to bring shame;
so our closet; our vault; keeps them hidden;
some may bring embarrassment to our name;
but some other thoughts are forbidden.

In heaven, nothing of thought can be hidden;
for there is no longer a place to hide;
evil thoughts, in heaven, are strictly forbidden;
every thought has God’s love, inside.
