The “Better Half”
Marriage is the joining of woman and man;
two parts together; made whole;
eternal love; the force, of God’s plan;
the combination becoming a soul.
Marriage; the union of disparate personalities;
virtual opposites, joined as one mind;
bringing forth the risk of obtuse realities;
when divorce leaves one behind.
Marriage was much like a two sided coin;
each side was one half of the whole;
in making decisions; both must adjoin;
both halves, were arbiters of the soul.
In the essence of time; much tension arises;
divisions, often lead to separations;
one would decide; what the other, despises;
love can’t make solitary declarations.
Marriage must become a mutual blend;
with faith in the Master, above;
in every decision; someone must bend;
divisions never lead to love.
Some, in love, relinquish all authority;
rather than argue; they laugh;
realizing that love is the prime priority;
the leave it up to their “better half”.
Divisions with God are the acts of fools;
we need to just smile or laugh;
our Lord and Creator, makes all the rules;
always defer to our “better half”.
