The Awakening

The Awakening

I awakened this morning to a rising sun;
alert, to face a new day;
feeling defeated by what’s to become;
seeking to find my way.

When in darkness, we tend to sleep;
dreaming of a better day;
faced with sadness; the time to weep;
with reality fading away.

All look ahead to a much better time;
a world of perfection; the goal;
time slowly fades; becoming sublime;
perfection is the Master’s role.

We know we’re alive, when we sleep;
tho, in sleep, we yield our control;
all are given promises; we must keep;
no life exists; without goal.

An awakening is the time for discovery;
the “aha” moment of purpose;
love is the answer, to sin’s recovery;
buried within reality’s surface.

Without love; all are destined to die;
from the rigors of life; be torn;
yet still, there’s no reason to cry;
death is the way we’re reborn.

We are caterpillars, in our cocoon;
in the Master, alone; we rely;
every grave transitions to a womb;
for, souls were created to fly.
