The Authority Of Pain
There’s always someone, in authority;
bringing us hardship and gain;
often, overcoming every other priority;
such is the authority of pain.
Pain is the master over life’s physicality;
leaving other thoughts, behind;
acting like the emperor, over reality;
pain rules through the mind.
Physical pain is the power of thought;
limiting what we can do;
through limitations; truth is taught;
growth makes us all new.
Pain is the seedling of God’s perfection;
attacking the heart of the soul;
the greatest pain; comes from rejection;
by love; all are made whole.
Pain is the signal; something’s wrong;
an emotional or physical flaw;
we can fight its power; only so long;
pain has the authority of law.
Pain often comes from battles, within;
becoming both judge and jury;
an angel of thought; warning of sin;
unleashing judgment’s fury.
Pain is the foretaste of glory, to come;
from loss; all becomes gain;
pain only ends; when victory is won;
only love conquers all pain.
