The Arrogance Of Pride
Attitude is the culmination of feeling;
everything thought; from inside-out;
the centrality of the consciousness being;
emotions of what life is about.
Attitude is a galaxy of total information;
all thoughts that have an appeal;
self testing brings about conformation;
ultimately leading to the surreal.
Attitudes constantly search for truth;
success leads it to pride;
constant revisions lead them to proof;
arrogance sets truth aside.
Arrogance is sheer confidence; inflated;
considering itself beyond all others;
sometimes, such confidence is overrated;
especially among sisters and brothers.
Arrogance always keeps pride growing;
the opposite is true; as well;
both, are much like a cold wind, blowing;
making life into a veritable hell.
Humility is the warm summer breeze;
he also searches for truth;
accepting God’s promises with ease;
rarely demanding proof.
The Master scorns the arrogant and proud;
wondering why He gave them birth;
sometimes they leave God laughing outloud;
but, the meek shall inherit the earth.
