Tentacles Of Evil
Tentacles Of Evil
The octopus is an interesting metaphor;
its tentacles, exploring its environment;
a picture of the acts of a competitor;
destroying truth, is evil’s requirement.
It seems that if two hands are better than one;
eight tentacles are much better than two;
throughout time, when there’s evil to be done;
the eight tentacles of evil will do.
The far reach of evil is simply amazing;
its flexible tentacles reach everywhere;
evil wastes very little time grazing;
wherever you may go; evil is there.
Those evil tentacles will rarely grab you;
for only their touch is required;
for, that very touch, is all they need do;
and we’ll do whatever, desired.
Sometimes, it seems, we see evil coming;
its tentacles reaching everywhere;
the advice I would give: “Begin running;”
once you sense evil is there.
Don’t allow evil the slightest opening;
give him an inch; and he takes a mile;
always, on righteousness, be focusing;
or else, you’ll see evil’s smile.
When one tentacle dies, we’ll discover;
nothing can inhibit evil’s reach;
for, evil is capable of growing another;
since evil has lessons to teach.
