Temporary Lives

We believe this lifetime will last forever;
but it’s merely our life in disguise;
it’s only a chapter; that death will sever;
it’s one of our temporary lives.

Every day is a page in our book of life;
one lifetime is only a chapter;
a time the soul matches a man and wife;
till death ushers in the hereafter.

This life is but a story once written above;
of a servant who dared to rebel;
a soul made of energies; out of God’s love;
cast down to a temporary hell.

Each soul was created to become a pair;
each an image of God above;
for a season; we’re prodigals in despair;
exiled to learn about love.

Temporary lives were not meant to last;
mere man wasn’t meant to rule;
in the season of death; all will have passed;
this lifetime; the dream of a fool.

This is a kingdom evil thoughts created;
ruled by the demons of destruction;
in death; all life must become elevated;
cleansed of all sin and corruption.

The book of life is the timeless story;
about the day that time ends;
all shall become a part of God’s glory;
when, in death; all will ascend.
