Tears
There’s nothing like them, in all the world;
crocodile tears; filling each eye;
eyes filled; love’s beauty, unfurled;
all happening, whenever you cry.
We think we are sad whenever we cry;
but that certainly isn’t all true;
most men resist it; they’d rather die;
than let love’s expressions come thru.
Tears come about when love overflows;
there is nothing that holds them back;
the secret that almost nobody knows;
deepest love made a sneak attack.
Of all physical, tears are irreplaceable;
for they cannot be reused;
and did I mention, they’re uneraseable;
their presence can’t be confused.
When we lose love, by death or desertion;
our loss of deep love, must hide;
our grief is abated by tears, insertion;
sadness must never remain inside.
Tears often come when expressing sympathy;
either joy or sorrow of others, we feel;
the love welling up inside is empathy;
and announces our love is real.
Tears; the ultimate expressions of love;
they tell what the soul wants to shout;
powers released by the father above;
and tears let it all come out.
