Taste Buds

We’re aware of many of life’s perplexities;
including hearing, sight, and touch;
but, there seems no end to its complexities;
and we all love to taste, very much.

If life became, as a kingdom of thought;
how could we taste with our mind;
and yet, in the mind all taste was wrought;
tho some of its bitterness, declined.

Some foods for thought are preference;
to their taste; we can relate;
others, stem from our frame of reference;
they may be the poison we hate.

It’s not only foods that can be poison;
poisonous concepts can kill;
truth need be employed for a reason;
for it is the core of our will.

Love is the sugar that satisfies;
to its sweetness, all can relate;
bitter is the substitution of lies;
for it is the saccharin of hate.

Many love substitutes, can be found;
tricking your tastes is their role;
death is found; just hanging around;
for love is a part of the soul.

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
his truth, shall always fulfill;
from this truth, it’s understood;
the wise will follow God’s will.
