REALITY

The Eye Of The Beholder

All beauty lies in the eye of the beholder;
a phrase most often misunderstood;
some, very beautiful; receive a cold shoulder;
to a few; quite lovely; to others; not so good.

I come to address this energy called beauty;
we think, to each; all look

Bereft Of Reality

As we grow older; our memories fade;
we slowly lose our grip on reality;
sunshine, outside, replaced by the shade;
revealing destiny’s ultimate finality.

The sands on the shore; wash out to the sea;
exhibiting life’s ebb and flow;
what, once has been; now comes

A New World Order

The world has been vanquished by lust and desire;
the simplicity of love; no longer in taste;
greed and pride have become the new empire;
allowing all manner or form of disgrace.

Truth, long ago, has vacated earth’s throne;
replaced by narratives of complicity;
deception

Love Of The Mind

Is there somehow an appropriate age;
where man and woman can love?
I’ve been seeking an all-knowing sage;
from the heavenly realm above.

As I grow older; it’s all hit and miss;
I’m someone; none long to see;
yet, do I long for

Places On A Map

We’ve lived so long in a false reality;
we no longer even seek proof;
it should be clear; life’s a duality;
tho few of us know the truth.

Our lives consist of times and places;
tho in heaven; neither exist;
focused only on bodies

Heaven’s Prodigals

Only a few wear pride with each step;
the rest of us languish in guilt;
prodigals of life don’t seem too adept;
they’re the first flowers to wilt.

Guilt is the garment; most of us wear;
from our life’s very beginning;
we were prodigals;

Seasick

We think that we are physical beings;
traversing these plains of earth;
tho our mind became in a world, unseen;
consciousness gave us our birth.

We’ve become obsessed with what we see;
and, all that we feel and touch;
unconcerned about what truth might be;
our eyes might

Evolution Of Love

Every life is a journey of explorations;
mysteries, that must be resolved;
often demeaned by man’s exploitations;
requiring our sins be absolved.

There are many roads from which to choose;
life is a complex labyrith; to be sure;
nothing is about, whether we win or lose;
