My Prayer

My Prayer

Lord, help this deeply flawed servant pray;
may your glory shine, to light my path;
my arrogance and pride have led me astray;
only with love can I avoid your wrath.

I’ve become filled with a lifetime of guilt;
a virtual hurricane; wreaking destruction;
deserving of hell;

A World Of Imagination

A World Of Imagination

What is it we see; when we’re out and about;
is it firm evidence of an external reality?
Most all of our certainty, swims in our doubt;
tho all opinions are mere triviality.

Everything that we see, feel and hear; is truth;
or, at least,

The Kingdom Of God

The Kingdom Of God

Do we live in two worlds, simultaneously;
or is this place a small part of the one?
Were we somehow created extemporaneously;
how did this reality become?

Many speak about the kingdom of God;
as though it were a separate place;

Normalcy

Normalcy

What is it, that we define as normal;

When we’re within the arms of another;
we share what sight, cannot see;
whether a friend, stranger, or lover;

The Death Of Love

The Death Of Love

I lie within my hammock of dreams;
on a dreary, starless night;
aware of contrasting story themes;
only my mind has sight.

Thoughts of voices, emit no sounds;
as darkness and light, collide;
a clash of a lightning strike, resounds;
with a story image, inside.

Memoirs Of Love

Memoirs Of Love

Some would say, that I’ve lived a full life;
experiencing all the love, that is there;
others might point out the sorrows and strife;
while division and hate seem everywhere.

Physical life is a pilgrimage; dictated, above;
roses growing in the Master’s garden;
preparing life’

Thoughts Of Heaven

Thoughts Of Heaven

I envision a kingdom of infinite perfection;
where the night is as bright as the day;
a reality where all live under God’s protection;
devoid of all hate and decay.

It’s a world completely oblivious to time;
where change occurs upon choice;
rancor and hate
