Overwhelmed By Sadness

I awakened this morning to a brand new day;
sunshine blanketing the countryside;
but, a storm is brewing; and coming my way;
I’ve been overwhelmed; since peace died.

Peace is a meadow; beyond understanding;
an ocean; teeming with life;
love and obedience to the Master, commanding;

Thoughts of love; we don’t understand;
its meanings are complex and varied;
all must love; it’s the Master’s command;
it’s why so many get married.

Love’s passionate energies satisfy;
two physical bodies become one;
God said, “Be fruitful and multiply!”

Death is an invisible energy ocean;
from mortality; new life enters in;
life is eternity; in constant motion;

Those Eyes

Men have different ways to judge a lady;
most change; as we grow older;
some, that we would consider quite shady;
stare; and grow much bolder.

I see gorgeous eyes shining; a beautiful face;
attracting much more than a glance;
her every move; a masterpiece of grace;

Do I see that which others see;
or, from truth, did I abscond;
how do others look upon me;
am I seen in a great beyond?

Am I a stick figure, talking;
how does their sight begin;
perhaps, a dead man, walking;

The Essence Of Consciousness

Consciousness is reality, which all believe;
I think; therefore, I am:
there’s little, beyond; which all concede;
it is the epitome of man.

But what is the substance of which we’re aware;
does the world, surround us; or are we within;
does consciousness extend

Before me; I beheld a vacuous face;
whose eyes were sad and lonely;
its smile appeared, all out of place;
diminished to mere shadow, only.

Seeing that face, made me feel sad;
