My Worst Enemy
We often spend time; trying to make friends;
love is usually found in those energies;
often, in the process; a word or deed offends;
and, suddenly; we’ve made enemies.
Tho we are diligent to find some new friends;
things don’t always happen, how we planned;

The sunrise cast down its rays of light;
warming and nurturing the earth;
a picture of the Master casting out life;
away from its garden of birth.
Tho we may think of sunshine as life giving;

in order to give thoughts a voice;
but, some of those ways manipulate;
if deception becomes a choice.
Emotions are undefined by mere words;
not reflecting a mind’s true intentions;
words are sometimes, thoughts slurred;

casting down life from heaven above;
converting a mere seed to a living flower;
enhanced through His power of Love.
For what the Master breathed out;
wasn’t the oxygen we breathe in;

Every life is a storm of turbulance;
full of swirling winds and sound;
laden with unending restlessness;
laying waste; appearing hellbound.
Life is born of purpose and consequence;
not meant as a peaceful vignette;
