Growing Old

Growing Old

What takes place; as we grow old;
allowing the body to age?
To many, a bill of nonsense, was sold:
“the old could no longer engage.”

Most expect wisdom to come with years;
but, that isn’t always how it’s to be;
I endured many trials; shed

Hallowed Ground

Hallowed Ground

I walked the store, where we had shopped;
not a trace of her could be found;
tho she was gone, my heart almost stopped;
for, I was standing on hallowed ground.

For most others, it was a place, insignificant;
for me, it retained the divine;
in its place,

Domain Of Despair

Domain Of Despair

We’re living in an age of dwindling hope;
where nothing’s considered fair;
many have lost their ability to cope;
living in a domain of despair.

This kingdom is a cesspool of confrontations;
so called “science” become mere opinion;

Diminishing Candle

Diminishing Candle

It may well be, that thought is sight;
all conception occurs in the mind;
decision made; before eye sees light;
and reality,

The Windfall Profit

The Windfall Profit

Mysteriously a virus suddenly appears;
not born of nature; but created in a lab.
and, all are told, in a voice so sincere;
save neighbors and yourself, take a jab.

Little effort is made to treat this disease;
it’s all about preventing its occurance;
it only

Time Is On My Side

Time Is On My Side

I often like to procrastinate;
no need to be in a hurry;
allow myself time to debate;
time should not be a worry.

I allow for adequate time to think;
no decision should be rushed;
even when destiny is on its brink;
choices must be
