How can we recognize when we’re wrong;
what is the determinant sign?
Many are the times we simply go along;
unwilling to argue or whine.
When the pangs of guilt suddenly arrive;
we succumb to the obvious truth;
forgoing temptations to cajole or conive;
while giving up

Sometimes we say things without thinking;
making our comments seem quite rough;
comments that make it seem we’re drinking;
usually referred to, as off the cuff.
Often we pay so very little attention;
to the things that we do and say;

We spend most of life making a friend;
two heads seem better than one;
we need others, upon whom, we depend;
a grandfather, daughter or son.
A true friend can be almost anyone;
real friendship takes much time;
a father, mother, daughter or a son;

Keep In Touch
Knowing that we treasured each other;
thinking the other needed a crutch;
speaking heartfelt words to a brother:
“Be sure you keep in touch!”
It’s a common message; harmless, seeming;
subtly planting a memory link;
