Behind Closed Doors

Preferring privacy; we close the door;
since we all have secrets to hide;
such is what all locked rooms are for;
not wanting to let others inside.

Many people wear a great many faces;
whispering; not daring to shout;
seeking to remain in other’s good graces;

Actor Without Applause

I feel like an actor on a movie stage;
my script has already been written;
my thoughts determine how I engage;
tho some thoughts are forbidden.

Like others, granted freedom of choice;
I can determine who I’m to be;
a wise man listens for the Master’

The Awakening

I awakened this morning to a rising sun;
alert, to face a new day;
feeling defeated by what’s to become;
seeking to find my way.

When in darkness, we tend to sleep;
dreaming of a better day;
faced with sadness; the time to weep;
with reality fading

The Negatives Of Life

The picture of a family is not the truth;
it’s merely an image on paper;
in order to determine reality’s proof;
burning, its ash turns to vapor.

That picture was only reality’s illusion;
the original negative gave it life;

Insignificant Brothers

Many dream of life teeming with magnificance;
an answer to all their dreams;
then live their life in seeming insignificance;
since life isn’t all that it seems.

We’re told to become the best we can be;
but, what does that really mean;
we’re limited by

The Kingdom Of By And By

I’m in the kingdom of by and by;
my mind full of reality;
a place where thoughts never die;
absorbing all that used to be.

My thoughts become a musical score;
to the beat of reality’s drum;
mindful of all that’s

When Tears Dry

Heaven sheds tears over God’s disappointment;
over the evil that abides within man;
all life was blessed with the Father’s annointment;
in heaven, the insurrection began.

Cast out of heaven; and exiled to the earth;
mankind was sent to the lower kingdom;
created in perfection

When I was young, I put models together;
a car; a ship; or a plane;
applying a glue, so they’d remain forever;
always looking the same.

with no purpose or value to anyone;
