Memories Forsaken
Many people have a fondness for the past;
there are so many things they’re missing;
some of the present should always last;
like a special person they’d be kissing.
But the past also contains much sorrow;
now memories, stored in the attic;

When I was young, it was all about me;
what would my life be like;
who was I destined in this life, to be;
after I outgrow my bike.
Slowly I grew, to become a man;

It’s been said, Everything happens for a reason;
implying that all things are planned;
declaring that all things occur within season;
means that life is lived on demand.
Does destiny demand that everyone be born;
a blueprint, concealed in their heart;
and, is it destiny which has planted
Pray Without Ceasing
The Master knew we’d all be in need,
requiring his wisdom and power;
giving instructions, expecting we’d heed;
in order for wisdom to flower.
“Pray without ceasing,” the Master said;
an encouragement, more than command;

Life is a multi seasonal adventure;
usually lived over many seasons;
God acts as both judge and avenger;
never without acceptable reasons.
Into each life, adversity must come;
though sometimes it’s in disguise;
from weakness, within; many succumb;
for all have been caught by surprise.
