Bad Temper
Many seem to have a volitile disposition;
it often shows up in sports;
easily frustrated by competition;
losing; puts them out of sorts.
Bad tempers are also displayed by drivers;
you’d best stay out of their way;
they’re frustrated red light survivoirs;
who always have something
Evil Circumstance
Is our life destined; to be what will be;
or do we all make our own choices?
Was each one created to always be free;
or designed, to be, God’s voices?
Are we puppets; and, God, the puppeteer;
pulling our strings; to make us dance;

What ever happened to innocence;
did she die, or simply move on?
The helpless victim of love’s impotence;
it’s hard to believe, she’s gone.
She stood convicted; without any trial;
her sentence wouldn’t be lenient;

Thru the vastness of communication;
only thoughts tell just the truth;
speech allows for thought mitigation;
allow me to offer some proof.
Thoughts carry a sense of truth or nobility;
sometimes they embody both;
transformed to speech; they gain agility;
and truth then requires an oath.

Life is meant to become like a favorite brew;
we’re to drink from its cup; till its gone;
whatever be its taste; this life’s made for you;
you’re required to drink; and move on.

until newspapers scattered opinion;
then, much of what’s truth; went south;
as newspapers gained dominion.
This so-called news was a form of gossip;
spoken across the backyard fence;
converted by television into massive profit;

All reality ascends to its climax;
its ultimate highest; its peak;
then slowly descends right back;
its ebb and flow is unique.
Why can’t it simply keep on going;
aren’t there new heights; to reach?

Most of us understand “comfort food”,
a magic elixer to cure depression;
something to help us change our mood;
even altering our facial expression.
