Sunset On Yesterday
Sunrise begins, yet, another new today;
tho heaven doesn’t recognize time;
each day is a season, with something to say;
whispering love from the divine.
Yesterday is the lost island of mystery;
never to be seen anymore;
all of it; become forgotten history;
as soon as we left it’s shore.
Tomorrow is the place we long to see;
more than halfway across an ocean;
surely tomorrow is the place I’m to be;
in a kingdom governed by devotion.
Tomorrow is heaven; the island of dreams;
a hologram of light projection;
today has been corrupted by evil’s schemes;
Tomorrow; the isle of perfection.
Life was to be lived, one day at a time;
consciousness lives for only today;
memories are simply past lives; sublime;
ones who have simply melted away.
For the sun has set on all yesterdays;
tho, to them, we keep on callin;
the past is merely a series of plays;
whose curtain has already fallen.
Today will sometime come to its end;
it’s the sunset, of sorrows and hate;
tomorrow is the day we all ascend;
death is the doorway to Eden’s gate.
