Structure

A structure is parts; all coming together;
it can be physical; or of the mind;
no single structure can last forever;
change is the Master’s design.

No singularity was created to last;
like a wave; they ebb and flow;
in earthquakes; buildings collapse;
only a polarity can grow.

Buildings; structures; concrete and stone;
with space set aside for the living;
pride; a structure; for which, all atone;
a determinant of taking and giving.

Structures are the assimilation of being;
discordant parts, blending together;
living structures from thoughts, unseen;
ebbing and flowing forever.

Physical structures are not meant to last;
every ediface invites corruption;
their presence will soon become the past;
death is the final interruption.

Structures are destined to fall in decay;
and everything living must die;
no matter how often we fast and pray;
humbly; the meek asks, why?

Living structures must all face attrition;
death comes about from friction;
such is the truth of the human condition;
life is reborn, by God’s interdiction.
