Still There
Everything in this life; comes at a price;
absolutely nothing is free;
whether; it be knowledge, or simply advice;
or even our liberty.
Most long for the aphrodisiac of power;
while others seek silver or gold;
there are even thorns on a beautiful flower;
whatever is known; will be sold.
Knowledge is the door to discovery;
truth is the pathway to gain;
experience; the road to recovery;
all wisdom comes with pain.
Wisdom is the consciousness of truth;
awareness becomes revelation;
within the mind, are realms of proof;
wisdom brings love and salvation.
Many think knowledge, only brings gain;
it transmits others’ feelings, as well;
wisdom carries their joy and their pain;
transmitting the heartbreak of hell.
Only God can endure the pain of us all;
it was over our sins; he cried;
he’s there to catch us; when we fall;
and, in our place; he died.
Yet; we continue to share all our pain;
believing that others care;
only sharing our love brings us gain;
knowing God is still there.
