Space/Time
Time and space were fighting a war;
and time had the upper hand;
space had no place for time to fight for;
but time didn’t require the land.
The universe had space always looming;
but time kept marching on;
time’s armies; space kept consuming;
as time brought in the dawn.
Space couldn’t move; he was froze in position;
like a wave of tide, time rolled in;
though space had planned for a winning mission;
time flanked him; to his chagrin.
When in deep space, time slowed down;
causing space to counter attack;
a strategy that caused time to frown;
as space continued to fight back.
Suddenly, the two sides ceased all resistance;
and the opposing armies decided to join;
time needed motion; space needed distance;
making them, two sides of the same coin.
Finally a scientist spoke out in his place:
It’s foolish for this argument to persist;
you have both turned logic upon its face;
perhaps neither space, nor time exists!”
If all reality is mere thoughts, like dreams;
and the universe wears a hologram’s face;
it may not be outrageous to say it seems;
that there’s no such things as time or space.
