Someone Who
Someone Who
I’d most like to be someone who;
others revere and respect;
someone whom; they look up to;
whose thoughts they never reject.
I’d like to be someone who;
has treasured friends; all around;
one whose traits; others imbue;
in whom, love and respect are found.
I’d like to be one who’s always there;
by those who are in much need;
to demonstrate, to all, that I care;
and, when they hurt, I bleed.
I’d like to be one, who is considered wise;
no matter what be the question;
always there, with the perfect replies;
or, at least, some good suggestions.
I like to be someone with a smile in place;
give love and comfort to those who cry;
to relieve the pain of those in disgrace;
my retorts must never be wry.
Instead, I cannot be that one I respect;
he wears the face of another;
one who was born to love and protect;
the face of a sister or brother.
That someone who; cannot be found;
only the Master wears such a face;
so He spread precious gifts all around;
allowing others to serve in His place.
