Snowflakes Always Melt

In life, some facts are often hard to take;
so we smile and quickly look away;
the truth’s exposure, can cause heartbreak;
worldwide; snowflakes melt each day.

Snowflakes are delicate, and can’t take heat;
beautiful, and fragile; they fall to the ground;
they are the fingerprints of life that we meet;
they quickly melt; and are no longer found.

Snowflakes are cold and lack life’s tenacity;
when the temperature heats up, they die;
for they are usually lacking strength’s capacity;
on them, none can rely.

Some people take on the character of snowflakes;
truth is the burden they’re unable to bear;
eventually melted by the heat of life’s breaks;
those snowflakes don’t seem to care.

Snowflakes simply regard as truth, how they feel;
as they build their wonderland of snow;
they’re fully incapable of assessing what is real;
and determining how the winds blow.

It’s understood snowflakes don’t live forever;
destiny determined they can’t stand the heat;
displaying beauty, in their short life endeavor;
they melt, when they, and adversity meet.

Snowflakes are God’s teardrops; frozen in ice;
tho they are lovely; they’re unable to cope;
in their short existence, they profess to be nice;
but, they turn into ice, on life’s slippery slope.
