Smart Bombs

Civilization rapidly continues to advance;
but not all of that progress is good;
mens’ jeans with shotgun holes in the pants;
I dare not claim, I understood.

The arrows of archers are no longer around;
smart bombs have made them irrelevant;
determining within; where they’ll hit ground;
who knew, bombs could be intelligent.

Cell phones are now answering questions;
even the ones we don’t care about;
after listening in; it gives us suggestions;
try and see; if you have any doubt.

Long ago, TV was flooded with cigarette ads;
propaganda proved to work well;
causing the deaths of moms, children, and dads;
advertising; the gift from hell.

Today, big pharma floods the TV screens;
threatening harm from every disease;
promising safety beyond your dreams;
just take their new vaccine, please.

Meanwile big government; not to be outdone;
keeps giving away; what we can’t pay;
planning to raise taxes on everyone;
our children will pay it all back someday.

All of creation is continuously evolving;
things in the past; today appear foreign;
unfortunately we see little problem solving;
smart bombs are today’s oxymoron.
