Slavery Of Thought

Thought’s the foundation for everything;
not ever meant to be deemed restricted;
thoughts controlled; will slavery bring;
any offenders, would be convicted.

Unrestrained thoughts are required;
for one to actually be free;
only free thinkers make us inspired;
that’s how God meant us to be.

With thoughts restricted, words are jailed;
and many a slave could relate;
actions and decisions, never are hailed;
without any chance of debate.

The Master created; that all be free;
He did so with no exception;
including, with whom, we disagree;
slavery, often avoids detection.

Only acts infringing on freedom of others;
are forbidden by the Master above;
all must be treated as sisters and brothers;
and granted respect, and love.

No one yet knows what’s on one’s mind;
so, many think they’re still free;
but, technology may not be too far behind;
to begin an authoritarian spree.

The young may think that everything’s free;
instructed on what they can say and do;
unfortunately, they know little history;
all that’s given; can be taken from you.
