Sermons From The Soul

Many teach only by their words, alone;
tho, it’s known, actions speak louder;
expecting results from words already sown;
is like firing a cannon, without powder.

Many have said, that, talk is cheap;
and that’s undoubtedly true;
our learning curve seems very steep;
everyone does; all they see you do.

Some speak from both sides of their mouth;
espousing a conflicting opinion;
creative deceptions; are all they’re about;
they walk in the devil’s dominion..

Most of us judge by others example;
to determine what we will do;
words and actions, serve as a sample;
as do they; so will you too.

Words may seem a substitute for action;
such a philosophy, just isn’t true;
words are often a most useless distraction;
others do; what you’re willing to do.

Words are evidence of thought’s foundation;
a prelude to actions and deeds;
reality is brought about by words’ creation;
supplying for our conscious needs.

Words are thoughts; given space and sound;
communication is their primary role;
more often than not; words just confound;
your actions are sermons from the soul.
