Reconstructing

After wars; there’s a period of reconstruction;
for any kingdom is in constant conflict;
in the gap in-between; peace brings seduction;
and some leaders govern by edict.

What is it that makes one want to be king;
becoming in charge of one and all;
the one who decides most everything;
that proud one; just waiting to fall?

Greed and pride, both go hand in hand;
and, arrogance, fits in there, too;
pride wants to be greatest, in all the land;
there’s nothing that you can’t do.

Why, in a period of life’s reconstruction,
would anyone choose to step to the fore?
Pride requested, “Quiet, no interruption,
can’t you see that I have the floor?”

The vacuum cleaner taught us a lesson;
a vacuum, sucks the dirt in first;
poor leaders always lead to aggression;
and, never, for righteousness, thirst.

How do we find leaders, during turmoil;
do we choose from the money changers;
should we wait for circumstances to boil:
or choose, from among complete strangers?

Where does our Lord and creator come in;
do His laws, in reality, matter?
The fear of God, is where wisdom begins;
and, it’s not where fools, gather.
