Reckless Drivers
Reckless Drivers
As a reckless driver cut in front of me;
I did something most very peculiar;
I shouted and glared; tho he couldn’t see;
I wonder; which was the fool here.
His reckless actions were out of control;
my thoughts were much the same;
which of us had the most reckless soul;
when both of us, shared the blame.
Our lives on earth are not physical, alone;
we’re each connected to God, above;
for the other’s behavior; both will bemoan;
neither of us acted out of love.
We are a child of the living God;
our anger approaching its brink;
we must be like two peas in a pod;
with God; we must be in sync.
How can thoughts get so out of control;
angry thoughts, turning to rage;
love, alone; must govern our soul.
Logic doesn’t require a sage.
As I continue; the other driver in view;
my anger, slowly reaches a boil;
my mind is now, a reckless driver, too;
what a pretty day for us to spoil.
Many have tempers, with a short fuse;
which require very little to light;
life is short; with so much to lose;
anger turns day into night.
