Reasons
It’s been said, Everything happens for a reason;
implying that all things are planned;
declaring that all things occur within season;
means that life is lived on demand.
Does destiny demand that everyone be born;
a blueprint, concealed in their heart;
and, is it destiny which has planted a thorn;
in order to keep pride, and us apart?
Wisdom is the unwritten law of purpose;
fruits of the tree in Eden’s garden;
knowledge, from under the ocean’s surface;
allowing love to replace a pardon.
Logic can enable us to ferret out reasons;
and the meaning of life, understand;
truth is disclosed in the proper seasons;
upon the Master’s command.
Pains and sorrows are only life’s seasoning;
ocean waves, ebbing and flowing;
only the Master understands the reasoning;
preventing our pride from growing.
Purpose is the lesson, all seek to learn;
the knowledge that all want to know;
but, only the arrogant cannot discern;
God’s purpose is to make us grow.
Faith holds the key to all life’s reasons
trusting in the Master above;
all things occur in the proper seasons;
and death is the season of love.
