Those who speak with loudest voice,
often hold secrets inside;
words they use, by careful choice;
for they have something to hide,

All the days of wine and roses;
are spent during nighttime, too;
sometimes their bravest poses;
are ventured when out of view.

Those with the largest pile of money;
make promises backed by gold;
selling the most expensive honey;
it’s the promised ones who are sold.

When bullies are allowed to lead;
tyranny is on their menu;
causing the people to bleed.
a battlefield becomes the venue.

New laws which exceed a page;
have their length for a reason;
devious plans, their authors engage;
it’s far less risky, than treason.

Public servants; neither public or servant;
they have their craft carefully protected;
although their speeches are fervent;
their lying promises have been perfected.

Consider these thoughts, I’ve presented;
they are merely thoughts of potpourri
evils, by words, are never prevented;
but, at least these thoughts are free;
