Planned Obsolescence

In life, nothing is designed to last forever;
our cars simply cannot self-repair;
planned obsolescence is really quite clever;
it’s a part of designs; everywhere.

Inanimate objects can never self-repair;
engines and tires simply wear out;
once, worn out; they became, just there;
a reality; that no one could doubt.

Manufactured goods are made to wear out;
becoming obsolete, by design;
man creates; garbage in; garbage out;
perfection, alone, is divine.

Life was created in God’s perfection;
each life, with power to self-repair;
temptation led us to God’s rejection;
with self healing; no longer there.

God had warned of the power of sin;
temptations had proved too much;
the body’s decay would soon begin;
as man had become out of touch.

Man sought to make the body eternal;
proving we’re God’s equal;
fathering a baby makes us maternal;
God, alone, creates a sequel.

Man sought to usurp God’s power;
living a life; filled with deceit;
a seed from God; can grow a flower;
but, the body becomes obsolete.
