Pilgrimage Of Love

Pilgrimage Of Love

I awaken each day in a search for significance;
while many others plan their vacation;
I look around me, at the infinite magnificence;
considering life an obligation.

There are so many things, we’ve taken for granted;
the lands, the seas, and the air;
always expecting they’ll stay where God planted;
depending they’ll always be there.

But what is it about this domain called “there”;
is it a specific time and place;
or is “there” simply a thought regarding where;
rather than an illusion of space?

Life isn’t meant to be a massive scavenger hunt;
it was planted as a seed in the ground;
and tho, often, it becomes like a battle front;
it’s the home where love is found.

We are here to serve at the Master’s pleasure;
thoughts of praise; shouted above;
we are not created to be the orphans of leisure;
we are God’s servants of love.

Love is energy we’re commanded to give;
it’s not about what we receive;
all must share love, in order to live;
and faith is the power to believe.

Life is the great pilgrimage, we’ve engaged;
given a perception of being alone;
faith allows the mind to become assuaged;
only love can lead us home.
