Perseverance
What does it mean to always persevere;
is it a strength or weakness;
it’s not giving up; when obstacles appear;
a special form of uniqueness.
It’s an ability that very few of us exhibit;
embedded deeply in the mind;
a strength; disallowing others to inhibit;
confidence and resolve, combined.
Some people nearly always quit;
whenever meeting resistance;
in any real challenge; they’re unfit;
lacking any true persistence.
Wisdom comes in many shapes and sizes;
many nuances and colors, as well;
perseverance overcomes life’s surprises;
it’s absence can lead to hell.
Often, only the strong can survive;
requiring faith to achieve;
persistence helps keep them alive;
when, by faith, they believe.
Battles are meant; only for the brave;
the meek are willing to quit;
all must be wise and persistent to save
it takes persistence and wit.
It’s said; Only the strong survive;
only they are willing to fight;
for all who wish to remain alive;
with perseverance see the light.
