Parody Of Truth
Truth is all about knowledge, perfected;
devoid of platitudes and lies;
much of it; discarded and rejected;
told by the look in one’s eyes.
Most pass the time; with lies on their mind;
thoughts hidden under the surface;
more than a few, with whom evil is aligned;
lying fulfills their own purpose.
Many believe they’re being considerate;
just saying what others want to hear;
but, many who lie; are being deliberate;
espousing lies, as others draw near.
Some think that truth is only a perception;
believing that they’re always right;
others live their lives; in total deception;
allowing truth to fade in the night.
Truth has become a pearl of great price;
those who espouse it, must rule;
believing liars, is like rolling the dice;
accepting lies; the act of a fool.
We live in a world with a disparity of proof;
professing honor where evil abides;
vacuous narratives become a parody of truth;
while propagating all manner of lies.
This kingdom, called earth, is upside down;
the father of lies is gaining clout;
his parody of truth causes all truth to drown;
as truth is turned inside-out;
