Hello & Welcome to

Attrition

All life is really a battle of attrition;
all of evil arrayed against Good;
such is, as we deem life’s mission;
and it has always been understood.

The battle is about thought against feel;
for feelings are oft devoid of thought;
and Thought is the only reality that’s

Eden's Gate

I stopped, to linger, at Eden’s gate;
my trepidation, I hide;
for deep within, I still relate;
to the birthplace of man inside.

A garden where life was planted;
and all of us were mere seeds;
place of birth; consciousness granted;
and the Master saw to our needs.

A Soliloquy

A kiss is just a kiss;
until that kiss is missed.
A smile is just a frown;
when it’s upside down.

A hug is most confining;
with love within it’s lining.
We all become invective;

One bright fall day; I planted a seed;
a seed that sprang from my thought;

a fool, lacking wisdom, is soon outsmarted;
is where all the folly ends.

We often waste our lives with ambition;
in retrospect, it’s all rather odd;
for it results in a form of sedition;

Fine Wine

Rising  within; coming to surface;
a deep abiding wisdom I see;
culminating in life’s purpose;
extending thoughts to eternity.

Mind expanding; length and width;
inconceivable, that I could define;
yet, due to his unbelievable gift;
I feel wisdom; aging like wine.

My thoughts; unable this wisdom, digest;
well beyond

Turning The Pages

Life is so very much like a book;
oft, I am uplifted; other times, in rage;
things I don’t like; are quickly forsook;
I can simply turn life’s page.

Life’s book has many chapters;
some are filled with love and joy;
others chronicle life’s disasters;
many
