Walking A Crooked Path
We’re told to follow the straight and narrow;
throughout the course of our life;
but, I feel I’m pushing a loaded wheelbarrow;
while commanded by my wife.
By myself, I can’t even plow one straight furrow;

Seeking knowledge is an admirable trait;
informatiion and wisdom are connected;
but, many who seek; have taken the bait;
with evil, by the powerful; protected.
It’s a curious route; evil manages to take;
especially for those following rules;
it wasn’t a vile crime; simply a

Sometimes we think we’re born to serve man;
but it’s a concept that seems rather odd;
man’s just a servant; doing whatever he can;
but creation all came from God.
We live out our stories of service to others;
our humility drenched in pride;
Betrayed With A Kiss
Many people seek love and attention;
wanting to take; more than they give;
others live in doubt, and apprehension;
lost in the life that they live.
The world is full of movers and shakers;
humility comes at a cost;
most, among them, are reality’s takers;
Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda...
Why must my focus be on yesterday;
shouldn’t it be on here and now?
Tomorrow is a date; not yet in play;
for, only today, can I take a bow.
Yesterday is long gone; forever passed;
shoulda, coulda, woulda won’t help;

Slavery Of Thought
Thought’s the foundation for everything;
not ever meant to be deemed restricted;
thoughts controlled; will slavery bring;
any offenders, would be convicted.
Unrestrained thoughts are required;
for one to actually be free;
only free thinkers make us inspired;
that’s how God meant us to be.
Seeds Of Thought
We think thoughts are basically organic;
created solely within our mind;
to think they’re from others, makes us panic;
wondering, by whom, they’re designed.
Many thoughts; planted as seeds by the creator;
we’ve claimed, as tho they’re our own;
